		<description><![CDATA[Ida dropped 1-3&#8243; across the Heart of the Valley yesterday.  As expected the higher rain amounts occurred mainly east of I-65 with lighter amounts to the west.  Here are some select rainfall totals:

		<description><![CDATA[Tropical Storm Ida, at 3 pm, is located just 60 miles southeast of the mouth of the Mississippi River and 165 miles south-southwest of Pensacola. Throughout the morning, Ida has weakened to a Tropical Storm, however it remains just under hurricane strength with sustained winds at 70 mph.
