The extreme heat continues. By the lunch hour temperatures had already reached the middle 90’s and were still climbing. Some locales could see 100 today, and the heat index will almost certainly go to the 105 danger range at a majority of locations. Showers are not impossible, but should be very scarce this afternoon and this evening [...]

As we start to heat things up in Central Alabama, of course, we are no stranger to triple digit heat. In fact, today holds the record for the hottest day ever recorded in Montgomery at 107° back in 1881.
Although we are not forecasted to get that hot, a couple cities inching at 100° will be no surprise [...]

The upper-level ridge will persist through the rest of the week. This means very little rain and a whole lot of heat. Temperatures here in [...]

The weather felt great this morning with lows in the upper 60s. An upper-level ridge is going to keep us mainly dry and hot this week. Expect temperatures to reach 95 by Wednesday. While the rain will be close, the ridge of high pressure will do a good job holding the showers off until the [...]

Storms Stick Around… While we might not see AS many storms today as we did yesterday, I still think that many of us are going to get wet at some point this afternoon into the evening. Temperatures will be typically hot, with most locations topping out in the upper 80s to lower 90s.
Fourth of July? [...]
