Great Weekend!
With very dry air in place we are seeing an amazing daily temperature range. After starting at 26 this morning, many areas were near 60 during the afternoon. Tonight, again, look for the mercury to dip into the upper 20’s and rise quickly into the lower 60’s during the day tomorrow. Each afternoon gets a little bit warmer, and by Sunday we should be near 67 for a high and perhaps flirting with 70 degrees or above by Monday. Look for clear nights and sunny afternoons.
Next week should be quite active as a series of disturbances move through the area. The lead disturbance will bring a chance of showers here by Monday night into Tuesday. A second, more robust system will bring showers and thunderstorms to the area by Wednesday night into Thursday. This system needs to be monitored. It could produce some strong storms, perhaps…but it’s too early to be sure at this time. Stay tuned.
After the third coldest winter in 138 years, it should be a great weekend to get out and enjoy the weather. Our spring countdown clock is now down to 15 days!
