Here We Go Again!

GULF_LOWLooks like rain will be invading our southwestern counties by early Thursday morning.  This system may be a real soaker – especially south of I-20.  While no severe weather is expected some localized flooding.  We may squeeze out 1-2″ of rainfall in some areas. The long range forecast keeps us in a wet and cool pattern over the next month.

This system should exit the region late Friday night.  We could see some lingering showers and even snow flurries for our northernmost counties early Saturday morning.

Speaking  of snow – we will have to monitor next week because there are several scenerios that could lead to some wintry weather.  I’m pretty confident we’ll see another Arctic air mass in place Thursday or Friday.  The GFS is hinting at the possibility of at least some frozen precipitation.  Of course, it’s too early to tell.
