Starting out chilly and cloudy this morning with area temperatures below freezing across the area. Clouds have been rather stubborn to clear, but will slowly do so as the day progresses today; I think most of us are in sunshine by mid-afternoon. Highs today will struggle into the mid 40s, and we should see about the same overnight lows tonight as we saw this morning.

A quick moving system will swing across the south Monday and Tuesday…this will likely bring rain to south Alabama and the Gulf Coast, but I think most, if not all, of the rain remains south of our area. We have a better chance of rain late in the week, and this event looks somewhat similiar to last week’s; we’ll need to watch it closely as the week progresses.
