Weekend Forecast

If you watched our Winter weather special, you may remember the forecast calling for above average precipitation this Winter and more severe weather.  Well, it looks like it’s coming true.  We had a small bought with storms Thursday and it looks like we’ll have to stay on top of the weather late Saturday night through Sunday morning.

What can we expect?  Saturday will be dry, cloudy, and breezy with highs in upper 60s.  After midnight, a line of storms will move across the region capable of producing gusty winds and even some small hail.  The tornadic treat will remain very low.  Much of the rain will be over by noon Sunday.  But, wait that’s not all!

RAIN

Sunday afternoon:  We may end up seeing some sunshine and that will incease our surface-based instability.  We will need to monitor for hail, high winds, and even the remote chance of a tornado.  The threat is minimal, but still we can’t discount it completely.  Expect thunderstorm coverage to be isolated.

Monday looks dry and cloudy and cooler with highs in the mid 50s.
