A tornado has been spotted on the east side of the city of Huntsville moving NE at 20 mph. Tune to WAFF 48 now for live coverage.

Update: Initial damage reports of some powerlines down in east Huntsville. Moving in the vicinity of Hwy 72.

Update 2: Tornado moving away from Huntsville Metro area, will move into Jackson Co in the next 15 mins.

Update 3 (5:50pm): Tornadic storm moving out of Madison County into Jackson County in the next few minutes…currently south of New Market and north of Gurley.
