Snowfall…Then Dangerously Cold!
A couple of things to talk about as we head into the next few days…
First of all, it is miserably cold outside right now! Highs will likely struggle to temporarily make it above freezing this afternoon under sunny skies. Another Hard Freeze is expected tonight too. At least on Wednesday we are expecting a toasty high(yeah right) of 40-degrees.
On Thursday, here it comes: Our first chance of decent snowfall for the season. The latest estimates put amounts closer to 1-inch of accumulation. Thursdays highs will only make it above freezing for a few hours so we could hold on to the white stuff on grassy areas for awhile.
Now, how about even colder temperatures headed our way for the weekend? That’s right after Thursday afternoon, our temperatures are expected to remain below freezing until Sunday afternoon. Wind Chills(feels like temperatures) below zero are anticipated. And, it won’t be until Monday when our daytime highs will be anywhere close to normal averages again. So, get Junior to chop some more firewood, we’ve got some definite winter weather outside the door for the next several days!
