Santa is getting ready to make his transit of the the North Atlantic, and will be arriving in the Fox 6 viewing area in the next 4 or 5 hours (as of the time of this post) and will be greeted by departing rain showers and a LOT of wind. Currently we are seeing wind gusts up to about 40 mph, and the wind we are currently seeing should last into the early morning hours of Christmas Day. The rain has already arrived, and should be in the Birmingham metro area by 7pm, and should depart the state by midnight to around 2 am.

A mixture of sun and clouds is expected for the rest of the holiday weekend, and it will be chilly as well, with highs in the 40’s and lows in the 20’s.
