Recent heavy rain in Alabama’s southwestern counties has prompted the Mobile Office of the NWS to issue a Flash Flood Watch for Wilcox, Monroe, Conecuh, Butler, Crenshaw, Escambia and Covington counties and surrounding areas from Monday afternoon through Tuesday afternoon. Persons in flood-prone areas should be alert and ready to move to higher ground if necessary.
