North Alabama Snow Still Possible
Posted on December 4th, 2009 by Jeff Castle
Well the morning computer models are in and light snow and flurries are still looking likely after midnight. Accumulations, if any, will be on the light side. Right now it looks like the most likely areas to see a dusting of snow are across Jackson, Marshall and Dekalb Counties. Close to the Georgia border places like Mentone and Ider could see around 1″ of snow. From Huntsville westward no accumulation is expected. The snow should end by 8 or 9 Saturday morning. Travel shouldn’t be a problem with ground temperatures sufficient to melt any snow that falls. And with some afternoon sunshine Saturday any snow that does stick will be gone by the end of the day.
