It was great to see the sunshine today! A cool front swept across the area and pushed out most of the clouds. The cooler air with this front is lagging far behind, and it will be tonight before we start to feel the cooler air. Overnight lows will fall to the upper 30’s.
Thanksgiving looks cool [...]

With a headline like that – I knew I would get your attention. Trust me – I don’t own stock in the local grocery stores. While it’s obviously too early to say if we’ll see any measurable snow here in Central Alabama next Monday the system does warrant monitoring. The system will usher in probably [...]

The gray skies will stay with us through tonight and for much of the day on Tuesday as well. Temperatures will remain on the cool side due to the clouds. After 50’s today, we’ll fall to the middle 40’s tonight and only into the lower 60’s on Tuesday. At least partial sunshine returns on Wednesday [...]

Gloomy day #2. As expected, clouds aren’t budging today leaving us with another cool day. Last year’s Thanksgiving was definitely a southern Thanksgiving with 73 degree temperatures. Well, we are going to feel a lot more holiday like this year as temperatures are going to be rather cool – but at least sunny – as we [...]

We’ve had a fairly quiet November thanks to a benign and sluggish weather pattern, not the kind of thing we expect to see in this normally stormy month (notwithstanding the big rain of November 10 from Tropical Storm Ida). Things are about to get a lot more active here this Thanksgiving week.
Next up is a [...]
