Good Weather for a Walk

After eating that big dinner on Thanksgiving Day, you might want to venture outdoors for a little exercise!  This year, the weather will not be a deterrent to get out for that late afternoon or evening stroll.

The second cold front in two days is ticketed for the Southeast, expected to arrive in Alabama and Georgia by afternoon.  We’re not getting a direct shot of cold air with this front as the main thrust will be to our north, where they could see snow showers in the Great Lakes and central Appalachian Mountains.  It will, however, stir up some pretty brisk northwest winds on Thanksgiving Day, and despite full sunshine it will be a bit cooler.  The nights that follow could be our coldest so far this season as skies remain clear and high pressure settles overhead leaving winds to go nearly calm, especially by Saturday morning.

So if you’re taking that evening walk, put on a jacket before heading out and stay warm!

Happy Thanksgiving!
