Decreasing Clouds…Again!

It’s been the same forecast for a couple of days now:  Decreasing Clouds.  So far, it hasn’t happened.  A mass of clouds rotating around an area of low pressure to our north has developed to bring overcast skies to much of the eastern half of the country.

The clouds over north Alabama this morning are a thin, low layer.  The sunshine is expected to burn through this layer as the day progresses.  So, I’m going with the same forecast again:  Decreasing Clouds.

Clear skies by tonight with lows dropping into the upper 30s.

Dry weather remains in the forecast through Friday, with mostly clear skies.

Saturday and Sunday’s rain chances are iffy. There is a developing area of low pressure that is expected to move our way out of the Gulf of Mexico.  The best chances of rain with this system will be into South and Southeast Alabama on Saturday…East and Southeast Alabama on Sunday.  At this point, the percentages of rain for the weekend in North Central Alabama stand at 20% for Saturday, 50% for Sunday.  Severe weather does not appear to be a factor with this system.

Monday brings decreasing clouds.

Tuesday a weak cold front will give us only a slight chance of showers (10%).

Dry weather should close out the workweek.
