Decreasing Clouds Today

The rains from Ida have finally moved away from us after dumping over 4-inches of rainfall on many locations in north central Alabama during a 36-hour period.

East Alabama will be the last to see the clouds clear late today. The rest of us will probably see partly cloudy to variably cloudy skies this afternoon. It’s still windy out there. With winds out of the north at 10-20 mph today, the National Weather Service has issued a Lake Wind Advisory until 3pm.

Overnight tonight, the clouds should move away, the winds subside and temps drop into the low 40s.

Expect sunny skies to greet us Thursday through Saturday and party cloudy skies by Sunday.

A chance of showers returns to our forecast Monday through Wednesday of next week.
