Most Chilling Weather Statement of All Time?
Posted on August 27th, 2009 by Rich Thomas
I am remembering perhaps the most chilling Special Weather Statement of all time. Issued 4 years ago tomorrow, by the New Orleans National Weather Service office, located in Slidell as Katrina approached. A forecaster, who actually lived in the 9th ward, …tried to find the best words to rally people to take action. Aug. 28, 2005. Truly chilling. NBC’s Brian Williams remembers reading this on his Blackberry as he arrived at the Baton Rouge airport, preparing for storm coverage at the Super Bowl. It had a very sobering affect on his NBC crew!
